Common Errors

When it seems like you've done everything right and it still doesn't work, here's a few things to check.

Decompile the database

If the VBA code has been compiled previously, it's "compiled state" retains code that may have long since been deleted. To fix this, you need to start Access with the decompile switch. Open a command shell and type:
msaccess.exe /decompile
Access will start normally. Open your project, then save it.

Add enumerants / handler code

If you added external modules (like cControl_WebButton) or created your own composite control, make sure you've added:
  • the appropriate enumerants to the cControlType enumeration in the SupportGlobals_ module.
  • the necessary handler code in the GetHandler() function in the SupportCompositeControlManager_ module.
